Thanks for your reply! Nice work editing the code.

What you describe and show in the example is called a controlled input. We had some discussions about using uncontrolled inputs–which are an anti-pattern, too–in the example, you can find them somewhere above.

As a recap, I use them to make the issue visible. The issue does not go away and can still backfire any time.

So I still stand my recommendation that index as a key should be avoided whenever possible.
